In this screenshot you can see some dark and light oak wood planks with some cobblestone blocks going together nicely with the morning soft sunlight.

This was a tricky one, I hope that it's going in the right direction, this screenshot was taken in-game right after the rain stops so you can see the wet sand effect.

Here you can see how the Obsidian block looks like in Realism Mats texture pack.
The key to get the most realistic look is a beautiful combination between textures, normal maps and specular maps.
