3 WIPs of kitsunes

I had really a big mess in my head in the morning and it took me 3 sketches to figure out, what exactly I want to draw. The winning side of coin went to the sketch no.1 - a black kitsune in a black kimono (OC). I'm gonna give her strange and sexy aura.

Short tutorial: shadows of layers

I have made a short tutorial for someone who asked me about, how I draw shadow layers to give them more depth. To be still detailed, here is short explanation:

1) zero: no shadows

2) lowest layer: gradient shadows in the corners, because all things sunk in twilight seem to be deeper.<...

I've changed the title from 'Garden of Wisdom' to 'Garden of Life'. My main idea is to make the garden, around the girl, full of live, and make the girl something opposite. Her wings are decaying and hair melting.

[WIP] Shantae + OC concept art

So I ran out of ideas about characters I want to draw as next and asked my watchers on DA about some suggestions. One of them was Shantae, I decided to bring her to my gallery as first one.
